Ground Work

Ground Work

As a bond is formed between horse and handler, the horse’s education can begin, playfully, gradually introducing him into the world of humans and his role in it.

The horse will need to learn to handle quite a few new situations:

  • Confronting obstacles
  • Getting used to strange sights and sounds
  • Being examined by the vet
  • Accepting a saddle and rider (in whichever order the handler prefers)
  • Go into a trailer.
